We had a pretty nice Easter weekend. For the first time Iris is starting to understand the concept of such imaginary things as an Easter Bunny, so that's pretty fun for Matt and I. She put out her and her sister's Easter buckets on Saturday night and proceeded to find their hiding spots on Sunday morning. Of course, explaining to a 2 year old why you can't devour all of the candy before breakfast proves a little tricky. We had Matt's sister and parents over for brunch on Easter, as well, which was really nice. Very low-key. I hard-boiled a few eggs for Iris to color. It was alot of work and clean up to dip six eggs, but she enjoyed it! Next year we can probably dye a whole bunch. All of our guests were gone by the girl's nap time so we had a little time to relax and then I went to a yoga class before dinner. I'm incredibly excited to get involved in a regular yoga practice again! The teacher suggested that I create a space at home for when I want to do some yoga on my own and I'm considering turning the little corner of my bedroom where Iris' bed used to be in to a yoga corner. We'll see. Baby steps! Although, I do like the idea of having a space in my bedroom because I can retreat to there when someone else is watching the girls. Hmmmm.
Eloise has a fever and has been a little crankster since last night. I'm not sure what's going on, it doesn't appear to be teeth. Maybe her ears? I don't know. I don't want to take her to the doctor again! Ugh. I'll just take a wait and see approach for now. Last night in bed she was just tossing and turning the whole night. Poor girl.
Hopefully I can get the Easter picture of Eloise posted soon. I only say Eloise because Iris refused to let us get a decent picture of her. You'll just have to imagine how adorable she looked, I guess!
