Mama I'd like to be

Do you have another mama whose life you really are envious of? I do. And not in a way that she's like super rich and has everything and leads this pampered life, but in a way that I really admire who she is and what she is doing with her life and how she is raising her children. I don't know how to put my finger on it exactly, but there's just something about her spirit that really calls to me. There are a few specific things about her life that I am straight up jealous over, but because I don't want to look like a goober calling her out on my blog, I'm not going to get in to specifics :)

Sorry this blog has been so blah and void of very many updates! I have putting more updates and pictures on my other blog that I share writing duties with Matt on. I am finding it more comfortable to share family information on a private blog, I suppose. If you're interested in following my escapades over there, let me know and I'll invite you!

Oh, also, I just joined this whole Facebook craze, which Matt finds hilarious because I am so anti MySpace. So if you're on Facebook send me an email letting me know who you are and we can be friends!

  1. I just joined Facebook, too! And when I had to put how I knew you, I think I just put we met randomly! Didn't know what else to put!

Anyway... I think all of us envy another mom, and sometimes more than one mom for more than one thing. I like pieces of many people, and I think I totally understand how you put it. I usually let the things I like about the other moms inspire me to not just want to "be" just like them, but adjust what I like about them for myself, so I'm still me. And I love this because then we are always changing and growing...Does this even make sense? Anyway. I just think most of us feel the same way.

  2. I am pretty sure I just joined Facebook. :)

Yup, I feel the same way. It's one of the things I love about blogging...I've been able to find other women who are strong in areas that I am weak but would like to be stronger. I have learned so much & it inspires me. It can get me down sometimes, too, but just like my friends in "real life" I have to remind myself not to compare myself to them.

I always love your blog (s) - neither one of them is blah. :)

  3. I e-mailed you to see if I could get the link to your other blog, but I never heard back. It's cool if you don't want me to, but I'd love to check it out!

  4. I am envious of other moms too.. There are some great moms out there that do so right by their kids...

I'll have to e-mail you now... I am a facebook addict...

  5. Yeah, i Have those same pangs of envy. :-)

  6. You're one of those mamas for me!
