Overheard in our home this morning

Me: "Hon, would you like some coffee!"

Hon: "Sure!"

So, who do you think I was talking to? Turns out, this is a frequent verbal exchange I have with my three year old. Although I would love to make coffee for my sweet shmoopsy poopsy, Matt, he's not a fan, so it's just me and my three year old left to drink the coffee in this home.

Just so I don't have any angry parents replying, Iris take her coffe like this: about a quarter cup of decaf, a little bit of sugar and fill the rest of the cup with milk. Voila! Her way tastes pretty darn good, I must admit.

  1. That's funny. My SIL does the same thing! Our kids don't do coffee, but hubby drinks enough for all of us combined. :-)

  3. I can't believe I do, either! lol

Something strange happened to me after I birthed my babies. I can no longer handle alcohol or caffeine. One cup of caffeinated coffee can sometimes make me shake! So, decaf it is. Sigh.

  4. Oh, I would love to have a little decaff drinker. Not that I can handle coffee at all right now. But I love the idea of having some morning java with my girl!

  5. EJ likes coffee too but I don't usually make decaf so she doesn't get any. She likes to talk about it though. Although the only time she ever had it was when she was a year old and I let her lick some off my finger and then she grabbed for the cup! She is one child who does not need caffeine! Well ... so is Iris!
