Pumpkin Pie Smoothie

Not sure why this requires it's own post after my long brain dump, but here you go. Yesterday I was going through some new blogs and I came across some smoothie recipes and one of them mentioned a pumpkin smoothie. Pumpkin smoothies? I love anything pumpkin, seriously. LOVE. So I decided to try my hand at putting together something tasty and simple and nutritious. I think I did pretty good, give this concoction a whirl if you love pumpkin, too:

A handful of ice
1 cup of raw spinach
1/2 cup pumpkin puree (I used the stuff in a can)
1 cup plain enriched rice milk (you could use any milk)
1 scoop of vanilla whey protein powder (I use one scoop of Biochem 100% whey protein powder)
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice

Mix it all in a Blendtec (or another powerful blender) until smooth. It almost fills a plastic grande sized Starbucks cold cup. If it isn't sweet enough for you, add a bit of honey. I put it all in to a recipe calculator and was pleasantly surprised!
